Bowback House is a significant Build to Rent development in central Milton Keynes, forming part of the wider regeneration of the city’s business district. Built on the site of the former HMRC offices, the scheme delivers 306 new homes including 43 affordable units across a series of stepped blocks rising up to 14 storeys. It’s designed around modern living, with on-site amenities including a gym, lounge, co-working space and 24-hour concierge. The architecture is confident and durable, with a strong material palette and a clear focus on long-term performance, low-energy systems and efficient delivery.

Landscape plays a central role in the experience of this development. A series of podium gardens and roof terraces are designed into the stepped massing of the buildings, offering a variety of outdoor spaces that feel considered and usable. These areas are more than just green space. They’re carefully planned environments that support resident wellbeing, social interaction and day-to-day life.
