The locking comb is a crucial component of the Velox Rapid Edge securing the triangular supports and planter edging in place. This is the innovation that mitigates all bolts saving time and eliminating the risk of under tightening.

Self-Weighted...

The base plate is the sole innovation that removes all the foundation requirements of a conventional system. The gravitational force of the soil above each base plate, offsets the horizontal force of the soil from within the planter. Nothing else is required other than the force of nature, no concrete and no fixings.

Working with Falls & Multi-Levels.

As we know, not all roof slabs are designed and constructed as a single plane. Also, the structural slab can often have multiple levels due to requirements on the level below.

Option 1

This option shows suitable aggregate infill, laid to take up the variations in the structural slab providing a level plain. This method of dealing with falls also reduces the risk of fire spread by limiting the size of the void between paving and substrate. The type of aggregate is project specific.

Option 2

This is where the Velox system takes up the variations in the structural slab whilst maintaining a top edge parallel to FFL. Whilst this option offers a simplified on site process, additional time is required during the design process.
