We were contacted to help create the courtyard of this residential project and worked in collaboration with TPM Landscape Architects on this. The courtyard’s purpose is to give the residents a revitalising outdoor green space to socialise, study and simply relax.
Central to TPM’s vision of the area was mirroring the triangular aspect of the buildings by segmenting the courtyard into geometric shapes comprising of paved and green areas. The design team collaborated with TPM architects to configure benches from the Squared seating collection to align with the vision. After running through various configurations, a unique hexagonal shape design was selected, alongside Squared tables and straight benches.
The design of the seating would make or break the success of the courtyard as it is the standout feature – unfortunately, the client did not have the budget to plant large trees or planters. The Squared seating is easy to modify which made it possible for the seating to help the project succeed.
