The Bayes Centre is located in a prime section of the Edinburgh University Estate. It is part of the greater award winning Potterrow development. The centre is Edinburgh Universities new hub for academics and students in the Data Technology, Maths and Robotics fields.
Using Sandstone sourced from the nearby town of Berwick, polished concrete columns and rooftop views the building has a unique neo-classical aura.
Logic’s involvement was to install tiered planters on a beautifully situated rooftop terrace. The terrace has views across Edinburgh and the famous Arthurs Seat. The resulting space is a green enclave within the city and continues the neo-classical feel.
The landscape architect envisaged a series of tiered planters on the rooftop terrace, holding a mixture of shrubbery and small trees. We were able to help with the use of planters from the Stapel collection. These planters are a simple yet proven design which allowed us to modify them to form the requested shapes and heights.
