Logic were involved in landscaping the roof garden spaces, specifically designing and manufacturing circular podium benches, raised planter edging and a feature privacy screen.
One of the project challenges was the tight curves at the ends of the planter sections rather than angled corners which would be more common for this application. To achieve these curves, we used a faceted solution.
The circular podium benches were a bespoke product, although certain elements such as the timber slats were based on the Boxer design. The timber used was Douglas Fir, which is very sustainable thanks to it being UK sourced. This meant that the carbon emissions from transport were much lower than if a tropical hardwood had been used.
For the planter edge, the Stapel design was used with a galvanised, powder coated finish which offers good protection against corrosion. The 1500mm diameter circular benches were based on the Boxer design, proving how our furniture modules and elements can be manipulated to perfect a product that looks nothing like the original design image on the website!
