Birmingham has been ranked as having the highest quality of life of any English city outside of the capital and is one of the fastest-growing cities in Europe.
The Mercian is located on the former site of the renowned nightclub, The Click Club at Burberries, which had its last live band, Blur, back in 1990.
Moda have taken this location and a building with created top-tier amenities, outstanding views and the UK’s first 200 metre running track, 500 metres above street level.
Stapel raised planter edge from Logic Manufactured Bespoke was used throughout the rooftop area to create the track boundaries and elevated planting areas. A bespoke design housed LED lighting which enables the keenest of runners to exercise after the sun has gone down. Integrated seating was also included, and stylish pergolas which all help create that great outdoor space. Opepe tropical hardwood was used for the seating and pergola, with a specialist powder coating to the steel planters.
