Project Details Project Intro

The Ann Court Regeneration is an exciting, transformative project set in the vibrant heart of St. Helier, Jersey. Designed to revitalize the northern town centre, this innovative development promises a fresh blend of urban living, sustainability, and community-focused design. It’s set to become a key player in the regeneration of the island’s capital, enhancing the area’s appeal and liability.

Project Overview: At its core, Ann Court brings a new standard of affordable, contemporary housing to St. Helier. The development features 165 beautifully designed homes, with an emphasis on one-bedroom apartments, making up around 79% of the residences. These homes are arranged around a charming courtyard, creating an intimate community feel within the bustling urban landscape. Ground-floor commercial units further enrich the local scene, ensuring this development is as much about enhancing daily life as it is about modern architecture.

The development offers 130 one-bedroom apartments and 35 two-bedroom apartments, thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with modern aesthetics. Residents also benefit from private balconies and access to landscaped communal gardens, adding a touch of serenity to urban living.

A key feature of this project is the transformation of Providence Street into a pedestrian-friendly public space. The large amenity area, alongside the creation of a welcoming public square, encourages community interaction and outdoor relaxation.

The project takes a forward-thinking approach to sustainability, integrating energy-efficient building services into its structure, reducing floor-to-floor heights, and opting for concrete construction to accelerate the build time. This ensures not just speed but also long-term environmental responsibility.

With a design that actively engages with the surrounding streetscape, Ann Court redefines urban regeneration in St. Helier, seamlessly connecting with adjacent redevelopment sites to foster a sense of unity and place. The architectural detailing responds to the site’s varied edges, creating an immersive environment that invites both residents and the wider community to engage.

Corten Stapel planters were used throughout this scheme to bring plant life and nature to the city space.  With this addition of Plateu seating, this area opens up pockets of relaxation for the public as they journey through this development.
