Grace House, a new affordable housing development in London, represents a significant step forward in sustainable and inclusive urban living. This 170-apartment scheme, located in St John’s Wood, was designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating features such as electric vehicle charging points, air source heat pumps, and solar panels.
Beyond its sustainability features, Grace House also prioritizes accessibility. The development includes wheelchair-accessible apartments, level-access balconies, and adaptable living spaces. This commitment to inclusivity ensures that residents of all abilities can enjoy a high quality of life.
By prioritizing resident input, sustainability, and accessibility, Grace House has created a thriving community that will benefit generations to come.
To enhance the calm, natural ambience of this space, Stapel raised planter edging was clad with Class 3 timber.
The warm, natural timber, creates a visually striking and functional element within the space. The planters not only provide a platform for vibrant greenery but also serve to create outdoor rooms. These split-up spaces serve as informal seating areas, encouraging residents to engage with the natural environment and foster a sense of community.
