The Medieval Quarter is the area in Manchester surrounding the Cathedral and neighbouring the recently complete Glade of Light, that was designed to be a living memorial, a tranquil garden space for remembrance and reflection. Its peaceful surroundings are intended as the setting for commemorative events in the city relating to the attack.
The Glade of Light project was designed by BCA Landscapes and manufactured by others.
Logic working along side Planit-IE & Hardscapes on the Medieval Quarter to design & manufactured a bespoke timber seating area that integrates in with Hardscapes granite artwork.
The design of the seating was very bespoke, so not linked to a particular style of seating from the Logic range of products, rather to a design from Planit-IE for the scheme. The timber used on this seat was a sustainable UK grown timber. The steelwork is painted in a RAL7016 anthracite grey to blend in with the surrounding granite.
