Fresh Wharf is a residential project alongside the River Roding near Barking town centre. It is a model development, as it is situated on 10 acres of brownfield industrial land and increases the number of affordable homes in the Barking area.

The project is situated on a former industrial site which will be transformed into a vibrant new neighbourhood with the River Roding as the centrepiece. Mooring along the project riverside will be rebuilt to allow houseboats to anchor. Also, reed beds are being planted along the riverside and a riverside footpath will run the between these features.
The biggest challenge for Logic was overcoming the ground level falls throughout the site, due to the riverbank location. Because of this, the client wanted the planter edging the to fulfil dual purposes. First, to provide an area for urban greenery and secondly, to act as a retaining element.
The raised planter edge design used throughout the project was the Stapel style. Structurally, the planters incorporated the Velox Rapid Edge™ system albeit highly modified to meet the project demands. For example, some of the planters were as high as 1520mm which is unheard of with planter edge. Most planter edging is between 400 and 900mm in height.
